Guys,
Finally got the 600F3 put back together last night. Based advice
from people here, I've raised the compression from the 8:1 I started
with to 10.5:1, and noticed a major increase in performance. Also found
that the jerks I had degree my cams were way off. Anyway, it revs a lot
faster and comes on boost much quicker. It's driveable now, but not
perfect yet.
I am still struggling with a lean backfire (I think) when I let off
the gas. I am blowing through the stock CV carbs and am getting real
close on the mains and needles, but I still get a pretty mean pop
(usually just one bang) out the exhaust when I quickly let off the
gas.
Anyone experience this, or have any suggestions on getting around
this?
thanks,
Dave.
