[turbobike] SHURflo pumps

There has been some talk on the list about electric pumps.

I have a SHURflo 8000 series pump which I'm going to use to scavenge the
oil from the turbo on my new GSX-R11 blow-through system. I know others
get away with it but personally I don't like the idea of returning very
hot, highly aerated oil directly into the engine oil pump. What I intend
to do is let the turbo drain into a small vented oil tank mounted at low
level, then use the SHURflo pump to scavenge the oil from this tank to the
engine. This should preclude the need to use check valves as the oil tank
will just catch any oil that drains through the turbo after shut down.

Has anyone on the list used one of these pumps on similar system for an
extended period of time, and if so did you experience any reliability
problems? My bike will be doing quite high street mileage with the odd
drag meet thrown in.
