Elmer was my idol too.  I only met him once, his daughter went over to get
him when I mentioned something about her dad being "my hero."  Very down to
earth for a man w/that much knowledge and that many records.  I believe his
quickest run was actually 6.02.

Did you know Larry McBride ran a 5.99 @ 243 in October?  He was wearing a
Trett T-Shirt when he made the historic run.

    Sounds like it works well !     I have heard of using fuel injectors
in the exhaust to do
the same thing.
   All those turbos you mention can work well if sized correctly,...I
think here in the US
most of the kits are built using Rayjay, Garrett, and some Aerodyne.
after using a kit and gaining experience,...a custom setup is most

turbos,...but the late Elmer Trett,...my idol,  went  6.19  I believe
with his 4 cyl  ???
