Should I use plastic or brass fittings to plumb my oil lines in and out of
my shurflo oil return pump? The instructions(yeah, I read them ,suprise
,suprise)dont recommend metal fittings(more vibrational stress on the
housing I suppose),but Im not sure if the plastic ones will be up to it.
2.Ive mounted the pump up under the solo seat cowl, way above the turbo oil
outlet, will I need a check valve in the line near the pump, or will the
pumps valves be able to stop the oil flowing back into the turbo after
shutdown?.
3.My pump has a pressure switch built into the housing,to cut out when the
preset pressure is reached.I suppose this should be bypassed so the pump is
on all the time?.(and what the hell is the small cap screw adjustment for?).
4.Should the oil and fuel pumps be wired to the ignition on circuit
directly,or just install a switch to be manually switched on,on startup?(do
they need to be fused?).
I'm very nearly the owner of a running turbo gsxr7/11 if anyone could
volunteer any info Im one step closer.
                     Thanks Stuart
