I'm fairly new to the TURBO bike game so I'm looking for someone
that has modified any of the 1984-1985 Kawasaki GPZ 750 factory
Turbocharged motorcycle. I have just purchased a very nice one, with
the only problem being a bad Turbo. I was able to locate a STOCK turbo
unit with less than 2000 miles on it (wrecked bike,but sat up for a long
time. I know that these bikes ran quickly in it's day. If *ANYONE has
*ANY* information on modifying this bike, please *share* it with me. I
am looking for *YOUR* Experiences and Modifications on this GPZ Turbo
Motorcycle.
The previous owner of the bike already had the *Race Modified
computer (for the Injection and sensors), *Single pipe exhaust, *Dial-a
Boost kit,& Adjustable Wastegate installed when I purchased it. I'm
interested on what can be done to this bike to make it *MORE* of a
straight line performer. In other words, I am looking to INCREASE the
Horsepower of this classic machine.
I am going to install an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (to
increase the fuel pressure) , and a Blow-by valve on the bike's stock
surge tank.
If anyone has ANY "mods" that I can do to this bike,(using the
stock Turbo for now),to make the motor a better performing piece. Also,
using the bike's Hitachi HT-10B turbo, does anyone know any Turbo
Rebuilders that can Modify and Upgrade this unit for me? Any,Fuel
Injection, Timing,Fuel pressure,Boost Increasing,etc etc, tips would
help me out quite a bit. Any tips on reducing "turbo lag" with this
bike would also be appreciated.
Right now, *ANY* info on the GPZ 750 Turbo would help me. THANKS
