Hi Jim Turbo engines operate with exhaust manifold pressures somewhat higher than intake boost pressures. this situation, when presented with long-duration, high-overlap cams, creates a huge amount of reversion. The "Turbo cam" tends to become a low-duration,very limited overlap cam. It's hard to find a turbo cam that works better than the stock cam Turbo Rick Web page 300HP Turbo GSXR1100 Street bike, Technical, Pictures http://www.ptw.com/~gsxr1100 -----Original Message----- From: Givenname Surname <givenname.surname@nxx.nokia.com> To: gsxr1100@ptw.com <gsxr1100@ptw.com> Date: Tuesday, June 02, 1998 12:53 PM Subject: stock cams? >rick >why do you need to put the stock cams back in the bike? >don't the cams only change the powerband of your bike? >i would imagine that this would also change the rpm at which the turbo >kicks in. >would this not be beneficial? >Jim >dado@cyberramp.net >
